<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch having a friction material easy of surface machining and fixed to a friction surface without causing adhesion and weld between friction surfaces even at the beginning of use. <P>SOLUTION: By coating the friction surface 1b of a rotor 1 with a coating material 8 containing a resin, instantaneous friction engagement of the friction surfaces 1b, 3b with each other is allowed without causing slippage. Thus, the stick of the friction surfaces 1b, 3b to each other is surely prevented without causing adhesion and weld between the friction surfaces 1b, 3b even at the beginning of use. The friction material 9 on the friction surface 1b is fixed to a groove 1d provided in the friction surface 1b, and so the thickness of the friction material 9 can be increased by the depth of the groove 1d and the friction material 9 can be machined very easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
