PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail clip to adapt a crosswise displacement of a guide rail for elevator. SOLUTION: The rail clip 10 is equipped with a base part 22, an arm 24, a pair of wings 27, and a contact pad 31 installed on the undersurface of the tip of each wing 27. The base part 22 is in contact with a flange 15 in such a condition as secured to a supporting bracket 13. When the guide rail 12 is displaced in the crosswise direction to approach the arm 24, the wings 17 warp upward until the flange 15 comes in contact with the tip of the arm 24. When the flange 15 comes into contact with the tip of the arm 24, a contact line is formed over the width of the arm 24. In the case a still larger load is applied, the guide rail 12 located under this rail clip is displaced upward, and the contact line shifts toward the base part 22. As the distance between the contact line and the base part 11 is decreasing, the effective stiffness of the rail clip 10 will increase. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
