PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem associated with difficulties of preventing microcapsules from adhering to a region other than an electrode on a substrate and further of patterning various kinds of the microcapsules so as to perform a color display since it has been hard to pattern the microcapsules containing a fluid body for display (a display fluid) on a substrate with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The microcapsules 103 are suspended in a medium liquid 106 for accumulation. A voltage is applied between a display body electrode 102 and a counter electrode 104 for accumulation.
