PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument system for stereoscopic display having a depth, as to the measuring instrument system or the like mounted on an automobile, in particular, the measuring instrument system having a feature in its illumination structure. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a planar light guide body 7 provided with a design part 6 in its backface, a scale 8 of a light transmitting illumination part provided on a front face of the planar light guide body 7, a design panel 10 provided in a back side of the planar light guide body 7, and a light source 13 for supplying light to the planar light guide body 7. The light source 13 is arranged to emit the light from a vertical direction toward a plate face direction of the light guide body 7, the light from the light source 13 is guided into the light guide body 7 to illuminate the the design part 6 and to transmission-illuminate the scale 8, and the light from the light source 13 is reflected by the light guide body 7 to illuminate the design panel 10 indirectly.
