PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a Streptomyces microorganism capable of decomposing a sparingly degradable protein contained in garbage, wastewater, organic wastewater, industrial waste, and the like, a protease for decomposing the sparingly degradable protein, and a composition for decomposing the sparingly degradable protein. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the Streptomyces microorganism capable of producing the protease capable of decomposing the sparingly degradable protein which is not dissolved when it is treated with proteinase K in 0.1 w/v% at 30°C for 120 minutes. Disclosed is the protease for decomposing the sparingly degradable protein, wherein the protease is given by culturing the Streptomyces microorganism, is able to decompose the sparingly degradable protein and has an optimum pH of 9 to 12 and an optimum temperature of 60 to 70°C. Also disclosed is the composition for decomposing the sparingly degradable protein, wherein the composition is obtained by culturing the Streptomyces microorganism and is able to decompose the sparingly degradable protein.
