The electro-hydraulic drive has a piston/cylinder unit and motor-driven hydraulic pump. A first regulating valve (41) associated with the opening speed is mounted in a section of the second hydraulic channel (28) between the branch (29) and the suction side (23) of the hydraulic pump (21) whilst a non-return valve (38) which is opened on operating the drive in the opening direction is mounted in the section between the first inlet mouth (37) and the branch (29) of the second hydraulic channel. The through flow cross-section of the non return valve is greater than that of the fully opened second regulating valve (40) which is associated with the opening damping action.
