<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery capable of reconciling the strength of a current collector and an increase of battery capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery 1 has a cell 2 formed by laminating a plurality of plate-shaped power generating units 20 composed of positive and negative electrodes 7, 10, and a separator 3 arranged between the electrodes 7, 10.
