<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning unit capable of surely positioning an intermediate transfer body unit or the like, and to provide an image forming apparatus which is equipped with the positioning unit, so that, for example, an intermediate transfer member, specifically, an intermediate transfer belt is prevented from being distorted and then high-quality image formation is realized. <P>SOLUTION: The positioning unit has a positioning pin whose end is joined to one side plate out of a pair of side plates arranged to be opposed at predetermined intervals and also which projects to pierce through a fitting hole provided on the other side plate, and is constituted so that the positional movement of the positioning pin is restrained by pressing the other side plate by an elastic member to a level difference part provided on the peripheral surface of the positioning pin corresponding to the fitting hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
