<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generator in which the timing of guide voice that is to be provided prior to a karaoke performance is properly matched with the karaoke performance even though the speed of the karaoke performance is changed, and to provide a program for the device. <P>SOLUTION: In the musical sound generator, the reproducing speed of guide voice and/or the timing of reproducing start and/or completion are controlled in connection with the reproducing speed of performance data using prescribed timing signals and a specified reproducing speed of the performance data. A reading start timing control section 18, which responds to the signals from a sequencer 14 that responds to the performance data and the signals from an operation/display section 26, controls the reading speed of guide voice such as lyrics or the like in accordance with the reproducing speed of the performance data specified by the operation/display section, instructs a voice synthesis section 20 to conduct voice synthesis and controls the reading timing of voice data from a memory 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
