<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge structure for a gate for an automobile having the gate capable of absorbing falling energy and effectively relaxing impact when the gate is opened. <P>SOLUTION: In the automobile 1, hinge members 7, 8 turnably connected to each other by passing a hinge pin 9 through cylindrical parts 7a, 8a are mounted to a body part 2 having the gate and the gate 5. The hinge pin 9 is fixed to any one of the hinge member 8 (or 7) and a cam projection part 10 is provided on a part of the hinge pin 9. A rubber bush 11 is concentrically arranged on the other hinge member 7 (or 8) such that the cam projection part 10 is press-contacted and compression-deformed when the gate 5 is opened. The automobile 1 is constituted such that the falling energy of the gate 5 is converted to friction energy of the cam projection part 10 of the hinge pin 9 and the rubber bush 11 and elastic deformation energy of the rubber bush 11 and absorbed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
