<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a golf club head that prevents an occurrence of noise due to a fluctuation in a finished head product due to the generation of a weld bead, relatively increase the effective elastic deformation area of a face plate, and increases the quality of welding, production efficiency and a long-range ball striking performance. <P>SOLUTION: A head body is provided with an opening portion, a first tiered portion and a second tiered portion are formed, extended from the opening portion and a groove is formed between the first tiered portion and the second tiered portion. The effective elastic deformation area of the face plate can be relatively increased by placing the face plate on the first tiered portion with a small contact area. During welding, receiving a surplus molten metal solution permeating a head body, the groove can prevent an occurrence of fluctuation noise of the head body due to the generation of a weld bead and aggravation of the recovery coefficient of elasticity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
