PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the remarkable impairing of heat exchanging performance, even when the temperature difference between a cooled object such as a heat medium and a liquid-phase refrigerant is small. SOLUTION: A heater 140 is energized when the temperature difference between the heat medium and the liquid-phase refrigerant is small to boil the liquid-phase refrigerant accumulated around an evaporation/condensation core 130. Whereby as the liquid-phase refrigerant is attached to a surface of the evaporation/condensation core 130 in a state of being expanded like a thin film when bubbles burst, a contact area with the evaporation/condensation core 130 with respect to the amount (volume) of the attached liquid-phase refrigerant is remarkably increased. Accordingly, the liquid-phase refrigerant attached to the surface of the evaporation/condensation core 130 in a state of being expanded like a thin film, quickly exchanges the heat with the heat medium and is evaporated, and the remarkable impairing of the heat exchanging performance can be prevented even when the temperature difference between the heat medium and the liquid-phase refrigerant is small. In its turn, the evaporation/condensation core 130 and an adsorber 100 can be miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
