PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and lightweight sliding door which does not require transportation labor to a construction site, excellent in local workability, easy to open/close for the aged, children, or women, which can give an inexpensive and simple structure to the head jumb and the guide rail, whose frame material depth can be reduced spacelessly because of the thin structure, strong in warp for the thin structure, excellent in strength and long term durability in use, environment-friendly in formalin-like ordor, etc., recyclable as a useful resource in future reform. SOLUTION: In this sliding door, a traveling guide runner supported by a guide rail is provided at the upper end of the door, the sliding door is constituted of a frame body formed of stiles and a panel on which a decorative sheet is stuck on the surface of a center core chiefly made of paperboard.
