PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transporting device and an image forming device equipped with the same capable of precluding generation of a slip between a roll and a sheet even if there is a difference in the diameter between the roll and a friction roller. SOLUTION: The sheet transporting device 209 is furnished with a plurality of transport roller couples 210 to pinch each sheet and transport in rotation and the roll 203 installed between friction rollers 202 on a rotary shaft 201 on which a plurality of friction rollers 202 as one side members of the transport roller couples 210 are fixed at a certain spacing, wherein the roll 203 is fitted loosely on the rotary shaft 201. Because the roll 203 in loose fit rotates in followup after the sheet, the sheet is free of the risk to be damaged caused by a slip etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
