PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety antiseptic material, which solves the problem that so far an antiseptic treatment material containing a heavy metal, arsenic, or the like as a main component is mainly used causing environmental and ecological problems, and which is friendly to the environment. SOLUTION: The antiseptic treatment material for wood is used as an aqueous solution to treat wood. The aqueous solution is prepared by mixing persimmon tannin mainly containing tannic acids, a wood vinegar solution mainly containing organic acids, and bamboo vinegar in a given ratio. Since these ingredients are natural products, the antiseptic material is friendly to the environment. By treating Japan cedar, hinoki, and pine thinning woods with the antiseptic treatment material, the effective use of domestic wood is promoted, and the use as civil engineering materials is expected in particular.
