PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine for which laundry is highly conveniently taken in and out, or the like, without lowering the performance of washing, rinsing and drying. SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine 1 is provided with a water tub 20 and a washing tub 30 inside a main body 10. The water tub 20 and the washing tub 30 are supported such that the axis becomes almost horizontal by four shock absorbers 100 and 110 provided below the water tub 20. A back surface side shock absorber 110 is a water tub angle change means and can change the entire length at the time of no loads by an air pressure. Thus, the axis angle at the time of an operation and the axis angle at the time of operation stoppage of the water tub 20 can be set at different angles. As a result, the performance of washing, rinsing and drying is improved, and a suitable water tub angle for easily taking the laundry in and out and confirming the inside of the washing tub 30 is arbitrarily set.
