<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a lithographic printing plate on a printing machine by using a lithographic printing original plate with high sensitivity and print with the lithographic printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The platemaking method for a lithographic printing plate comprises a process to expose light to the lithographic printing original plate having an imaging layer containing an infrared absorbent, a polymerization initiator composed of salts of hydrogen sulfate ion or sulfate ester ion and onium ion, a polymerizable compound and a binder polymer, and a hydrophilic support, in an image-wise pattern and polymerize the polymerizable compound in the exposed region; and a process to make the lithographic printing plate by removing the unexposed part of the imaging layer in the state that the lithographic printing original plate is fitted to the cylinder of the printing machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
