<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe holding mechanism for a water pumping device having a water pumping pipe connected to a fixed pipe mounted through a float and long suspended at its lower end in water, preventing the occurrence of bending stress in a fastening portion of the pipe even when load operates on the water pumping pipe in any direction. <P>SOLUTION: A flexible pipe 108 is connected between the fixed pipe 103 and the water pumping pipe 104 and a universal ring 109 is fitted to the flexible pipe. A pair of upper levers 110 are arranged between the fixed pipe and the universal ring and the upper levers are fixed at their upper ends to the fixed pipe. On the other hand, the universal ring is supported at the lower ends of the upper levers via supporting pins 112 turnably in one direction. A pair of lower levers 113 are arranged between the universal ring and the upper end of the water pumping pipe and the lower levers are fixed at their lower ends to the upper end of the water pumping pipe.
