<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a golf club head for speedily processing and manufacturing a finished product of a golf club head by first manufacturing a head cast body by casting with a certain quantity of work remaining in advance, and next press-forging the head cast body by utilizing a single forging die. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the golf club head comprises a step of manufacturing the head cast body by the casting method with a face plate formed in the head cast body and the quantity of working remaining in advance, a step of enhancing the expansibility of the head cast body by heating, a step of forming a head blank by filling waste holes by press-forging the head cast body using a forging die with the specification of the finished product of the scheduled head, a step of removing forging burs of the head blank formed by the press-forging after the head cast body is removed from a mold, and a step of manufacturing the finished product of the head by the surface-treatment of the head blank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
