<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sound weld zone by suppressing the occurrence of blowholes in an arc welding of a die casting made of aluminum or magnesium using arc length oscillation pulse arc welding method in which welding is executed by vertically oscillating the arc length by switching the energization of a first pulse current group and that of a second pulse current group at a preset switching frequency. <P>SOLUTION: The switching frequency is set to 0.5-30 Hz. The welding is executed while irradiating a laser beam to the vicinity of a front boundary part A of a melted part and an unmelted part of a molten pool 2a, which is formed by the arc length oscillation arc welding. An irradiation part is melted to the depth of≥1 mm from the surface by the irradiation of the laser beam.
