PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for a vehicle with a simple structure excellent in riding comfort and controllability regardless of whether the vehicle is turning or traveling straight. SOLUTION: The stabilizer 1 for the vehicle restraining a difference in vertical movements of left and right wheels by a torsional elastic force is provided with: a left side arm part 21 attached to a left side suspension arm 61; a right side arm part 22 attached to a right side suspension arm 62; and an actuator part 3 connecting them. The actuator part 3 is provided with an inner shaft fixed to the left side arm part 21 and an outer case fixed to the right side arm part 22. Electroviscous fluid is filled between the inner shaft and the outer case. A relative constraining force in a torsional direction between the left side arm part 21 and the right side arm part 22 is varied by a change in viscosity of the electroviscous fluid in association with a change in impressed voltage, thereby changing a force for restraining the difference in vertical movements of the left and right wheels.
