PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertebra and a clip base, whereby special working for a vertebra body part to perform positioning for fitting a clip base is dispensed with, the cost of parts is lowered, and assembling is facilitated. SOLUTION: This vertebra 20 for a wiper includes: a vertebra body part 21 formed of a long plate curved like a bow to apply uniform energizing force to a wiping surface; a clip base 24 fitted to the vertebra body part 21 to engage with a wiper arm; and a holder 22 fitted to the vertebra body part 21 to replaceably hold a refill 10 and perform positioning for the clip base 24 in the longitudinal direction of the vertebra body part 21.
