PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain flow coater for a liquid coating material which radically solves the problem that a flowing material poured from an inlet onto a first eaves-shaped member involves bubbles when it comes out from the inlet, and troubles caused by bubbles are not dissolved. SOLUTION: The curtain flow coater for a liquid coating material flows down a liquid coating material from the discharge slit of a long-length orifice so as to form a curtain shape via a guide part for a liquid coating material. The guide part for the liquid coating material comprises: an inlet passage connected to a liquid feeding means; a liquid flow-down passage into which the liquid coating material from the inlet passage is poured through an inlet provided along the direction of the discharge slit: and a slit guide in which the discharge slit is opened at the lower part of the liquid flow-down passage. The inlet passage connected to the liquid feeding means is provided with a flow rate control valve. Further, the liquid flow-down passage is fitted with an overflow member having an L-shaped cross section with a part from a passage wall facing to the vicinity of the inlet to the vertical wall thereof as a prescribed gap.
