Without performing new development of an LSI itself in a video information device, it is possible to add a new function by connecting the video information device to a ubiquitous module unit which has components such as a hardware engine, a CPU, a general-purpose bus for providing an extended function such as graphics, a new image codec, a network function, and the like that the video information device itself does not have, and on which ubiquitous module unit an OS for operating the components is mounted.
