Coating and/or partial extrusion-containing of flexible elongated product comprises activating portion(s) of the surface of the product by plasma treatment, and applying flowable material to the activated surface area under the influence of heat and/or pressure as a coating with coverage or as a formed part. The product has surface with material-conditioned nonstick characteristics. An independent claim is included for elongated product comprising surface with non-stick characteristic (partially) activated by plasma treatment, and coating formed of flowable material applied to the portion(s) of the surface of the product by plasma treatment via heat or pressure.
