<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct communication of IP base on a point-to-point channel without the use of a point-to-point protocol PPP. SOLUTION: First a PHS (registered trademark) channel is connected (step S1). In this case, when respective terminals have this data communication equipment, an IP address is assigned and the terminals are authenticated. Thus, a later PPP connection processing can be omitted. Furthermore, when either of the terminals does not have this data communication equipment, a conventional PHS channel connection only is conducted. Then a PHS Internet access forum protocol PIAFS is connected (step S22). Then whether or not the IP address assignment and terminal authentication have already been made is discriminated (step S23), and when the IP address assignment and terminal authentication have already been made, the connection processing is finished. When it is not made, the PPP connection is made (step S24), and then connection is completed.</p> |
