<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the radiation noise, and to improve the rigidity of junctions in an intake manifold provided with a surge tank having a tank main part arranged at a side of an engine body and a plurality of intake pipes respectively having a rise pipe extended upward at an opposite side of the engine body in relation to the tank main part and arranged in parallel with each other and formed by joining a plurality of synthetic resin joint parts. SOLUTION: A surge tank 20 is provided with a side swelling part 20b swelled from an intermediate part of a tank main part 20a, and a grid-like rib 35 for connecting between rise pipe parts 29B and 29C provided in both sides of the swelling part 20b and connected to a junction of the plural joint parts forming at least one part of the surge tank 20 is projected from the outer surface of an end wall of the side swelling part 20 interposed between the rise pipe parts 29B and 29C provided in a pair of intake pipes 21A and 21C arranged at an intermediate part along the arrangement direction 28 of each intake pipe 21A-21D.</p> |
