<p>A golf club protective cover comprises a first part 1 having a semi-rigid tubular portion 4 through which the grip and shaft 8 may be passed, and dimensioned to extend over and enclose a portion of the shaft 8, in use. The tubular portion 4 opens into a wide portion 5 for receiving at least part of the golf club head 7, in use. A second part 2 is provided to form a closure for the first part 1 with a securing mechanism, perhaps hook-and-loop fastenings, being provided between the first part 1 and the second part 2 to selectively hold them together. Both first 1 and second 2 parts may be of semi-rigid material and can be hinged together. The tubular portion 4 may enclose all of the shaft 8 and grip, in use. The protective covers may be fitted to a mounting plate that is secured over the mouth of a golf bag.</p> |
