<p>Steel monofilaments of high resistance are embedded in rubber. The monofilaments are deformed into sinusoidal shape and then used to reinforce tyres, the deformations being removed by expansion of the preform. A simper, cheaper process is provided for making tyres with improved wear resistance.</p> |
