<p>Opt. subst. alkarylidene 2 di-1,3-thiolane or alkarylid-2-ene benzodi-1,3-thiolane derivs. may be obtained by the reaction between the corresponding nitrile and dithiol. The subst. in the alkarylidene ring may be halogen esp. Cl and/or lower alkyl, and the substituent in the benzene ring of the benzodithiolane may be lower alkyl. An example gives the preparation of 5 methyl 2 benzylidine benzodithiolane from benzyl cyanide and tolylene di-3,4-thiol.</p> |
