<p>Extract is tapped from the first stage for further processing and the remaining extracts are then used in a series of further stages to work in counterflow and form the initial suspension and the extraction fluid. The residue from this operation is then mixed with the original extract fluid from the first stage under raised temperature and pressure and so hydrolysed. This is followed by a second extraction operation as before. The second operation should be carried out in a rotating pressure cell filter, using continuous autoclaves for the hydrolysis routine.</p> |
