PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a text message of a digital information processing device is provided to convert a message inputted with a voice into a character in a text message transmit mode, and to transmit the converted text message to a digital information processing device having a designated originating number, so that a user can easily use an SMS. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor displays a calling number input screen, and outputs a voice message(S30), then converts an inputted voice number into a character to display the character on an LCD panel(S31). The microprocessor decides whether an OK key is pressed(S32). If so, the microprocessor displays a text message input screen, and outputs a voice message(S33). The microprocessor converts the voice message into a text message, and stores the converted text message(S34). The microprocessor decides whether the OK key is pressed(S35), and transmits the stored message to a digital information processing device(S36).
