摘要 PURPOSE: An arrayed waveguide grating device for planar waveguides is provided to finely adjust a wavelength of the AWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating) by freely varying position of a single-channel optical fiber array. CONSTITUTION: An arrayed waveguide grating device for planar waveguides includes a plurality of arrayed waveguide gratings(42) on a substrate(41) and a slap waveguide on end portions of the arrayed waveguide gratings. A single channel waveguide is formed on one of the slap waveguide, and a poly-channel waveguide is formed on the other of the slap waveguide. A single-channel optical fiber array and the slap waveguide, coupled with the single-channel optical fiber, are separated from each other. The single-channel optical fiber array is fixed on a mobile plane to change a direction of light uniformly on an interface between the single-channel optical fiber array and the slap waveguide. The mobile plane is expanded and contracted according to a change of ambient temperature.
