摘要 PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device is provided to prevent concentration of current at the edge portion of an auxiliary electrode, by preventing a direct contact between the edge portion of the auxiliary electrode and a metal electrode layer. CONSTITUTION: An organic electroluminescence device comprises a transparent substrate(101), transparent electrodes for anode, current supplying connection electrodes(110), an auxiliary electrode(111), an insulation layer(103), an organic material layer(105), and a metal electrode layer(106). The transparent electrodes for anode are formed in one direction on the transparent substrate. The current supplying connection electrodes are not superimposed with the transparent electrodes. The current supplying connection electrodes are formed at an edge of one side of the substrate, in the direction intersecting the extended direction of the transparent electrodes. The auxiliary electrode is made of a material having a resistance lower than those of the connection electrodes, and formed on the connection electrodes. The insulation layer covers the section excluding a light emission cell region of the transparent electrodes, and covers an edge portion(111a) of the auxiliary electrode. The organic material layer is formed on the light emission cell region of the transparent electrodes. The metal electrode layer is made of a material which does not cause an oxidation with the auxiliary electrode. The metal electrode layer is formed to cover the auxiliary electrode, insulation layer, and the organic material layer.
