LCD ADOPTING A VERTICAL ALIGNMENT MODE HAVING OPERATION CHARACTERISTICS OF NORMALLY BLACK MODE

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve display characteristics by adopting a VA(Vertical Alignment) mode having operation characteristics of normally black mode. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate(700) includes color pixels. A lower substrate(600) includes a switching device(TFT), a pixel electrode(650) connected to the switching device and a reflective panel(660). The switching device is formed at a pixel region defined by a gate line and a source line which are adjacent to each other. The reflective panel formed at the pixel region defines a reflective region and a transmission window. A liquid crystal layer(800) formed between the upper and lower substrates has a vertical alignment mode.
