摘要 PURPOSE: An MPEG(Motion Picture Experts Group)-4 coder using an H.265 multimedia chip is provided to improve performance of a camcorder phone and encoding speed thereof and prevent increase of manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A discrete cosine transfer(115) performs DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) of original image data. A quantizer(120) quantizes an image frame transformed by the DCT. A DC(Direct Current) component predictor(210) predicts a DC component of the quantized image frame. A variable length coder(130) performs variable length coding of the image frame and then outputs an MPEG-4 bit stream. An inverse quantizer(135) inversely quantizes the quantized image frame. An inverse discrete cosine transfer(140) performs inverse discrete cosine transform of the inversely quantized image frame. An H.265 reconstructed image memory(145) stores an H.265 reconstructed image applied from the inverse discrete cosine transfer. An MPEG-4 reconstructed image memory(220) converts the H.265 reconstructed image into an MPEG-4 reconstructed image and stores it. A motion compensation part(155) compares a new image frame with the MPEG-4 reconstructed image so as to remove time redundancy.
