PURPOSE: A method for displaying a battery usage time of a mobile communication terminal is provided to predict the total life of a battery, and to calculate a expected usage time of the battery based on the predicted total life, then to display the calculated usage time, thereby more exactly perceiving the remaining amount of the battery as well as the expected usage time. CONSTITUTION: A controller is in standby mode(210), and reads battery voltage data(212). The controller reads the first reference values of code sections, and compares the first reference values with the read voltage data(214). The controller decides whether one of the first reference values is identical with the voltage data(216). If so, the controller stores a current time as a voltage data checking start time(218), and reads current voltage data from an RAM(220). The controller reads the second reference values to compare with the current voltage data(222). The controller decides whether the voltage data is identical with the second reference values(224). If so, the controller stores the current time as a voltage data checking end time(226), and calculates the total lifetime of a battery(228). The controller reads current voltage data(230), and calculates a expected usage time of the battery to store the calculated time(232).
