PURPOSE: An earphone including an extended memory, and a memory extension device including the memory are provided to be used as a secondary memory for a portable electronic device such as a mobile phone, an MP3 player and so on. CONSTITUTION: An earphone includes an earphone cord, a speaker(15), an earphone plug(13), and a portable memory. An electrical signal can flows bi-directionally at the earphone cord having a predetermined length. The speaker portion converts an electric voice signal to a recognizable signal. The earphone plug is coupled with an earphone jack in a portable device and is electrically coupled with the earphone cord. The portable memory is electrically coupled with the earphone.
