PURPOSE: A data storage medium is provided to effectively control an access to a data sector on a sector necessary to be limited, e.g. to set whether non-encrypted sector is transmitted to a requesting device, an authentication on a requester is required or sector data can be transmitted to external devices. CONSTITUTION: The medium comprises a sector(200). The sector(200) is consisted of header data(202) and sector data(204). The header data(202) expresses whether an effective authentication on a data requester has to be received before a drive transmits sector data to the data requester. The header data(202) expresses whether the drive can transmit non-encrypted sector data(204) to the data requester.
