PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying the capacity of a terminal battery are provided to comprise a display window in a battery, so as to display the remaining capacity on the display window when the battery is separated from a terminal, thereby immediately confirming the battery capacity by seeing a battery icon displayed on the display window. CONSTITUTION: An LCD(1) displays a battery capacity as an icon. A battery recognition terminal(7) senses that a battery is separated from a terminal. An LCD driver(2) senses that the battery is separated from the terminal according to a signal level of the battery recognition terminal(7), drives the LCD(1), and displays the number of bars in proportion to the battery capacity by confirming the capacity. A power supply terminal(3) supplies power to the terminal combined with the battery. An external charging terminal(4) is contacted with a charging terminal of a charger to charge the battery. A battery cell(6) stores a charged power to supply the power.
