PURPOSE: A method for configuring a base station by sharing a DU(Digital Unit) of a mobile communication system is provided to magnify the resource usage rate of a base station digital part by high-capacity and concentration of a DU, and to combine the DU with at least one RF unit through one optical link, thereby reducing the cost for renting a trunk line. CONSTITUTION: A DU(400) comprises as follows. A BSC interface(403) interfaces a BSC(401). A system controller(405) processes a call by interworking with the BSC(401), and manages the operation for a BTS. Channel units(407) process CDMA baseband signals. The first optical interfaces(413) receive I/Q signals from the channel units(407) to apply a TDM process in accordance with plural RFUs(RF Units)(409,411,415) to the received signals, convert into optical signals, and send the converted optical signals to the plural RFUs(409,411,415) through an optical core. A GPS synchronizer(417) supplies a reference clock based on GPS information.
