摘要 PURPOSE: An optical disc recording apparatus and a focusing and tracking offset compensation method are provided to enhance the record quality of an optical disc by adjusting a focusing and a tracking offset so that the level of a WRF signal can be minimized. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a 4-division photo detector(21), 2-division photo detectors(22, 23), a WRF amplifier(24), operators(25, 27), an MPP amplifier(26), an FEO amplifier(28), an amplifier(30), a PP amplifier(31), adders(32, 33), switches(34, 35), and a CPU(7). The 4-division photo detector(21) receives the light reflected on an optical disc, and outputs a current according to the optical intensity of the received light. The 2-division photo detectors(22, 23) are used for generating tracking error signals. The WRF amplifier(24) calculates the intensity of the beam reflected on the optical disc. The PP amplifier(31) operates the output of the MPP amplifier(26) and the amplifier(30) to output a PP signal. The adders(32, 33) add an offset value to an FEO or a PP signal to change the focusing and tracking offset value into an optimal value in a reproducing or recording process.
