PURPOSE: A composition and an electron emitter are provided to achieve improved efficiency of electron emission by manufacturing an electron emitter from a composition containing a high purity carbon-based material. CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises a carbon-based material having a purity of 95% or higher, a glass frit, a binder resin, and a solvent. The carbon-based material is selected from a group consisting of carbon nanotube, diamond, diamond-like carbon, graphite, and carbon black.
