PURPOSE: A jogging management device using a GPS of a portable apparatus and a method thereof are provided to separately store a pace in accordance with a changed jogging speed in a storage unit, and to apply different paces according to the jogging speed to a jogging management program, thereby more reasonably and effectively managing jogging. CONSTITUTION: An electrocardiogram system(14) consists of an accelerometer(13) for obtaining a walking pulse and/or a sensor(15) for obtaining an electrocardiography signal or a heart rate signal. A multiplexer multiplexes the pulse and the signal. An A/D converter(26) converts the pulse, the electrocardiography signal, the heart rate signal, or the multiplexed signal into digital signals. A storage unit(23) stores a jogging management program which can obtain a jogging distance, a jogging speed and/or a heart rate. The jogging management program is performed by a CPU(22).
