APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CURRENT CONSUMPTION OF A FLASH TO EXTEND A USE TIME OF A BATTERY

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling current consumption of a flash are provided to extend a use time of a battery by sensing brightness of surroundings and thereby keeping brightness of a high-luminance LED(Light Emitting Diode) constant with varying the current consumption in the high-luminance LED. CONSTITUTION: A flash drive part(130) drives a flash(150). A flash drive power part(110) supplies electric power for driving the flash. A flash current control part senses brightness of surroundings when a camera is operated and controls the flash drive part in order to control current consumption in the flash. A flash drive control part recognizes a press of a camera shutter and thereby operates the flash drive power part.
