PURPOSE: A digital remote base station system is provided to adopt a digital optical transmission method while enabling an optical transmission in a single mode by multiplexing baseband signals of each sector channel, thereby preventing an interference noise among RF signals and reducing a cost. CONSTITUTION: A master CDMA modem(32) generates channel baseband signals corresponding to plural sectors. A main controller(34) generates a remote control signal for controlling a slave base station(50) located in a remote place. A multiplexer formatter(36) multiplexes the channel baseband signals and the remote control signal, and converts the multiplexed signals into digital parallel signals. A parallel signal converter(38) converts the parallel signals into serial signals. An E/O converter(39) converts the digital serial signals into optical signals, and transmits the optical signals to the slave base station(50) through an optical cable(40).
