METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING PRINT DATA TO PRINT IMAGE SEARCHABLE FROM HOST COMPUTER

PURPOSE: A method and a device for processing print data to a print image searchable from a host computer are provided to enable the host computer to search/confirm the desired print image without a printing job by generating/storing the print image and a preview image after the printing job, and transmitting a print image list in case that a search request for the print image is received. CONSTITUTION: A print controller(110) generates the print image by receiving print data of a document to be printed, and generates the preview down-scaling the printed print image and print image information. A storing part(150) stores the print image information and the preview image transmitted from the print controller. If the search request for the print image list is received from the host computer, the print controller transmits the print image information for one print image and the print image list including the preview image to the host computer.
