PURPOSE: A method of fabricating an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce probability that stitch badness arises and improve yield of the device by aligning a data line and a pixel electrode with a layer comprised of an active pattern. CONSTITUTION: A gate insulation layer(120) and a semiconductor layer(130) are sequentially formed at an active region on a transparent substrate(100) where a gate electrode is formed. A stacked structure, comprised of the first metal layer(132) and the second metal layer, is formed at a predetermined part on the semiconductor layer. A part of the semiconductor layer not masked by the stacked structure is etched so as to form an active pattern(130'). The second metal layer is etched in order to form a data line(140'). A passivation layer(146) is formed on the gate insulation layer. A pixel electrode(150') is formed on a predetermined part of the passivation layer.
