摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a method for improving heat insulation property of molten steel and fusibility of mold flux in the state that generation of nanometer sized fine powder is prevented by spray drying an aqueous slurry onto molten steel from the upper side to the lower side by a disk type spray dryer, thereby minimizing size of granules to about 0.032 to 0.25 mm. CONSTITUTION: In a method for producing mold flux granules for continuous casting, wherein the mold flux granules are sprayed onto the upper surface of steel to improve heat insulation property of molten steel and fusibility of mold flux in a continuous steel casting process, the method for producing mold flux granules for continuous casting by a spray drier comprises a step of charging an aqueous slurry containing solvent components including carbon particulate into the dryer; and a step of spray drying the aqueous slurry charged into the dryer onto the upper surface of steel in a certain sized uniform granule shape by a raw material spraying using centrifugal force, wherein a centrifugal type disk is applied to the dryer in the aqueous slurry spraying method to spray dry uniformly globular granules, and wherein the globular granules produced by the aqueous slurry spraying method have diameter of 0.032 to 0.25 mm.
