<p>A device for reading/writing an information carrier is described. The device has a radiation source ( 34 ), e.g. a laser, and optical elements ( 32 ) for generating a spot by focusing the beam. The spot is focused on the surface of the information carrier, and the power of the laser is applied in high energy pulses for cleaning a surface of the information carrier.</p> |
